Vroom! Our Aldabra tortoises (Aldabrachelys gigantea) move the fastest when they see that lunch is ready.
These giant tortoises are native to the Aldabra atoll, part of the Seychelles islands, off the northern coast of Madagascar. Males can grow to over 4 feet in length. Females are much smaller.
Tank, closest to the camera, is a whopping 550 lbs and is 56 years old this year. Orville is the tortoise beside him, and moves pretty well for being 114! Samson, 31, is already over by the food pile munching lettuce.

The two songs in this video are both in the public domain:
1. "When the Saints Go Marching In" is a traditional early American folk hymn of unknown origin.
2. "Bill Bailey, Won't You Please Come Home" composed by Hughie Cannon (1877--1912) was published in 1902.

Debussy "Clair de Lune" for a gentle female elephant called Ampan. Ampan is 80 years old and lives with us as Elephants World in Thailand. She is blind in one eye and can barely see with the other. 80 years old is very old indeed for an elephant, it’s about 10 years past the natural life span of an elephant in the wild.

Taken on November 3rd, 2018 at Reynisfjara, also commonly known as the Black Sand Beach in Iceland. People didn't pay attention to warning signs about the dangerous waves that can sneak up the shore. They all got up afterwords and thankfully were ok. Be safe everyone!

A visit to the zoo. Some excitement for the wolves, notably for Whitey (b.2009) who has to protect the "pack" in his newly acquired dominant ("alpha") role. December 2015. Zoo / Tiergarten Worms, Germany.
More info on the zoo:
Besuch im Tiergarten Worms im Dezember 2015. Etwas Aufregung fuer die Woelfe, insbesondere Whitey, der als neuer Rudel-Anfuehrer sein Rudel vor potentiellen Gefahren beschuetzen muss. Doggy enrichment bietet etwas Abwechslung fuer die Woelfe.
